Nexus no longer downloading files chrome

Digging up a dead post because I was here and managed to solve. Do most people use Chrome as their browser? Because usually, Chrome would block Nexus Mods from downloading multiple files. Hello, I tried this, and downloaded a free adobe to my computer. chose it as my default for pdf downloads on chrome. unforturnately it didn't work, and document appears as "invalid document" when i try to save it. so I switched back to save as chrome html, and now I can't save anything! not sure what went wrong. but now i'm worse off. you go to nexus mods type in the mod you searching for, top right are two download options with NMM or manually- if you click with NMM, the download of the mod is done through NMM not through any browser When you clickt the "Download with NMM" -link in Nexus, it is still the browser that selects the proper program for the extension.
